Greetings to all, wondering if anyone can assist where I can get this starter switch assembly repaired or find a replacement to a Craftsman Bench Grinder 115.7566. I have searched the internet with no luck even tried to find out what the laminated material is made from. It appears to be made of compressed cardboard material . Any help is appreciated so I can finish this project and move on to the next. Thanks in advance

It is indeed pressed paper with a binder, and it's called phenolic. You can patch a broken board with epoxy and a stint (even a popsicle stick). I've patched them many times, and it works forever. In your case, I would buy a perforated circuit board and laminate it to the broken switch. A little grinding and a few holes and you are all fixed.

That looks to be a common switch used in other Craftsman grinders and motors. This one is from a 115.6962 motor and it's available. The mounting holes are 2-3/8" apart.

PM sent.
