Craftsman Bit Driver?

This blurry pic shows a Driver that I found at an Estate Sale for $1.00. Labeled Craftsman Made in U.S.A. All the spaces in the handle contain bits.

What are these drivers called? Anyone have an idea on the age? Or where I might search for more information?

Push drill, also called a Yankee driver, you could use drill bits or screwdriver bits. When you pushed on it the bits turned. The phone companies were famous for using these.

There are also larger craftsman push drivers that extend out to about 20 inches.

They take a variety of drive bits and drill bits; very handy where no electricity (or portable drivers are unavailable).

I think that one is a rebranded Stanley. Sears rebranded Millers Falls products for many years as well.
