Hey, I found one too.
Saw this forlorn ole boy and walked away from it.....
Needs a power cord
The lamp is broken
Darn thing is crusty and needs a paint job...

Kept hearing my name being called
Geno
Geno
Geeeeeeeno!

So, I'll be working on this Craftsman Block since my vacation to Maui was cancelled

Hey! Those things are just so cool. I found mine in a shed, along with a few more tools from the 60’s and 70’s in a shed behind the Governor’s Mansion years ago while at a party there. They were tossing them so I couldn’t let that happen. I decided I had to reclaim the grinder recently. Originally it was gray and silver but decided I liked black for a middle section better.

I’ve used it for the last 7 years and it’s performed flawlessly but decided I should change stones, after recalling how they can fly apart and be deadly. So I got a new stone, and replaced the wire brush, then stripped/repainted, and ran a line of stick-on felt between the cowling and the cast body. What I believe is that the stone I removed was an original stone, made for Craftsman based on the branding. I’ve attached the pic. Of course I need some new badging and I hope the gentleman who is known for recreating the fantastic decals for these things is still around (Mattblast) so I can appeal to him for that work on it! Otherwise I’ll leave it be, or adorn it with something clever. I also need the shields, and a lampshade. I’m unsure of the availability for those items though. Possibly have to fabricate something.
