Did a cursory search and came up with nothing. So who all has gotten to handle these or seen them used? Anyone know who is making them for CM?

Hmmmmm. Same basic Premis as the tools craftsman sold 50 years ago that were powered by your drill motor. Whats old is new again....

Not going to save any money on this though over stand alone tools. Basic powertools are about the same price as the little " modules" at $40.
Might save some space though.

John Deere blocks a lot of content from us inlcuding for some reason half of the Craftsman webpage. LOL. Seen a little bit about them on a buddies tablet and thought Id inquire on who they are made by.

Oh cool, a proprietary system that'll be orphaned within a few years, with limited selection. Sign me up! :p

The price for the base kit compared to the price of a LiIon battery from Dewalt, Makita or Milwaukee alone scares me a little. The jigsaw, trim saw and oscillating tool sound cool (Makita's LXT jigsaw is over $200 for a bare tool!) but I wouldn't have high hopes for a $30 jigsaw mechanism or $40 oscillating tool. Aside from that, there's still a buncha tools I'd want to have that they don't have, not to mention I'd never want to have to swap parts to go from a drill to an impact driver.

Meh, buying the hammerdrill piece, impact driver piece, and a 2nd battery puts you close to $300. You could buy a real LiIon kit with real 3aH batteries for about that, and be able to find tools and batteries years down the road... and not have to stop and change "heads" to go from drilling pilot holes to driving screws.

I don't see the benefit. I would rather have seen them improve the quality of their batteries and chargers. With their C3 tools, if I burn out a motor or a trigger switch, I'm out one tool. With this set, you're out every tool.
