still have 2 of the 80th anniversary ones from some 4 years ago when they were free after rebate one Sunday! They're neat, but not as useful as one may wish.

Yup, I saw that last night on www.sears.com for $6.37 on line. I went the store and it was $7.49 on the shelf. I asked the salesperson and asked about the on-line price of $6.37. He looked it up on his "iPad" device to verify and he rang it up at $6.37. It is made in U.S.A. and has a good hefty weight to it, 9.2 oz. I just christened it by opening up an ice cold beer. Better put a chain on it so it doesn't disappear from your garage!

I was just at my **** Sears today that never has updated prices. I would have bought the damn thing there for $7.49 had I known.

Just picked up two of them. One thing I noticed....they're beefier than their wrenches

I bought one for home and love it. I bought a screwdriver handle one when I couldn't find a second one for my camper. It sucked. When I finally found a second wrench style one, I picked it up for camper.

I picked one up at the local Sears fix-it shop when trying to get a Rebuild kit for my Jack.

$4.99

I would have bought 10 of them at that price but they only had 1.

I bought one a few months ago at regular price and have never used it until I saw this thread tonight. Just cracked open a Terrapin Pumpkinfest and it worked great!

sooooooo are they still made in USA?

Always hinted at my wife to buy one, but she never has. Maybe I'll finally buy myself if U.S. made. If not, I'll just keep my 3 other foreign made openers.

P.S. I've used the one I bought for my dad, and they're awesome!

Yup the picture on the website is misleading, it doesn't have that blank polished area as shown. It is filled out with USA - XXXX model number just like the ratchets.
