Just thought this was cool. Picked it up today; it's definitely a Kennedy 520. Which is good as the drop front is missing.

Just that it belonged to a friend of the seller's father and was old. Funny thing is I have two Kennedy boxes and both were owned by airplane mechanics who were apparently also audio nerds. This one had a piece of paper in the bottom which was apparently directions to someone's place to buy some Boston Acoustics speakers. The other had a Dynaco plastic tool for adjusting variable inductors in it. I'm using the 526 to store all my turntable stuff in (cartridges, styluses, scales, hardware, etc.)

Does it have the two spring loaded pins that retain the missing front cover? I find that to be on all of the Kennedy sourced boxes.

Yes. Other than the missing drop front the only fault I can find is that the lock appears to have been forced and broken.
