Craftsman Breaker Bar Repair

I have a made in USA Craftsman 1/2" breaker bar that needs a new ball and detent. I can't find a kit for one and wonder if you guys know of one. Or one that will work even if for a different brand. It's a VVN44201. I know I can trade it in for a new one but I've had this one 22yrs!

Last time I looked they didn't have that one. The issue is that kit has a screw in pin and mine is not? I though maybe just using the ball and spring from it?
