Guys, I'm looking for some information on the tools that Plomb made for Sears. They were sold under the Craftsman name & have a circle U makers mark on them. The ratchets look like left over WF ratchets to me, with rasied panels for the Craftsman logo.

I found an almost complete set of 3/8's circle U sockets today at the pawn shop in great shape. I'm going back tomorrow to hunt for the rest. I'm sure it was a full set that was dumped into the socket bin.

Any info you have would be appreciated. I was unaware that Plomb made tools for Sears until recently. I would like to find a set for my collection some time.

Thanks

nine4gmc, I gave $3.00 for them & 4 misc. 1/4" underline Husky sockets. I have them at home soaking in some mild degreaser. I'll try to get some pics up when I get home from work.

I hate it that I found out Plomb made some Craftsman stuff. I mostly collect Plomb & Cman stuff with a little Husky & None Better/New Britian thrown in. Looks like my pocket book is going to take another hit !

Haha. It's just loose sockets, no case or anything. Im gonna go hunt thru the bins tomorrow, but I bet the socket bin at this pawn shop has 500 sockets dumped in it. It will take me a good while to dig thru it.

Are these tools fairly rare? There's a couple of sets on ebay for some good coin. Like I said, I didn't even know they existed. lol.

If they get bid on to that level and sell, than you have answered your own question!
