I have read that one of the main issues with this is the air chuck becoming lose and not staying on the stem when inflating tires.

Well I thought I was special and it would not happen to me, but it has happened.

Has anyone fixed this on the cheap? I read that the replacement chuck can run $25~. Not looking to spend so much for something I spend $30 on.

I have an extra air chuck cord laying around could that be used somehow?

Thanks all for the advice!

I have one too, actually I'm on my second (and last.)
First one, I accidentally knocked off my bench and it shattered (I mean in pieces.)
The replacement's readout now occasionally goes wonky, showing virtually everything but the desired information.
A handy gadget but a piece of junk overall. It is strictly a disposable tool, it is not worth fixing.

You can always cut the old non-working air chuck off and then replace it with a new one.

There are alot of replacement air chucks out there that have a hose barb on the end so you can just push it into the cut end of the air hose and clamp it.

Here is a picture of a set of air chucks. I found these on Amazon, and this set is about $5.00.

That is a great idea Jim!

I see that you linked a picture, what are they called so I can look them up, or a direct link to those air chucks would be perfect! Thanks!

Your welcome!

I just went into Amazon and searched for "Air Chuck".

There are so many, I just picked the first picture that had the hose barb on it so you could get an idea of what I was referring to.

You might be able to find them in a big box store like Lowes or Home Depot.

That looks like the same one in the picture I posted!!

I read that these are all metal and built alot stronger than the cheap plastic and thin sheet metal one that comes with the C3 Inflator.

And that is great price too!!

Please take a picture of it when you get it installed and let us know how it works and what you think of it.
