Hi, I'm new here so not sure about how this works. My name is Kirk, I am wondering if anyone out there has any C3 tools that they might be ready to part with since unfortunatly Stanley Black and Decker isn't going to continue making them. I have several but still need to get ahold of the 6" Orbital Buffer Polisher, Jigsaw, Sander, and Caulking Gun. I know I'm probably not going to have any luck but you have to try anyhow. I hate whats happening to Sears and Craftsman but I guess the world moves on with or without you.

I jumped ship on the c3 stuff. All I have left is the Impact driver , drill and florescent light. Those are now in the house for light duty around the house work. I upgraded to the 24v Kobalt stuff. I couldn't be happier. Stuff is strong batteries last and they're cheap. Tools get really good reviews. And they're brushless. I will be expanding my collection to the 3/8 and 1/2 impact wrenches probably a circular saw and maybe the vacuum. Not sure on that yet.

Welcome to GJ from a fellow Ohioan. I'd probably skip the C3 stuff and put your money in a more stable platform like Ryobi, Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee in terms of the tools you still need. Unless you can get the C3 stuff cheap.

I'd keep the C3 stuff and use them until they break. Nothing wrong with being on 2 platforms like C3 and Ryobi -- it opens up more flexibility. I know it's nice having all the tools be able to use one battery platform, but it's also a benefit having a wider selection of tools to pick from.

I am in Makita and Ryobi. My main tools (impact driver, regular drill, saws) are in Makita, and I have my job site radio, lanterns, flashlights, 2nd impact driver, drill in Ryobi. When working with someone else, having 2 drills makes the job fly by.

Possibly a Deja Vu moment again in a couple of years.

too bad you didn't post this couple weeks ago. I ended up selling 15 or so c3 tools (including I had in a storage bin to a neighbor down the street.. I will double check, but I think all I have left is one of the elusive fans, which was practically new, but good luck.

We shall see. The tools are far superior to the c3 stuff. The line has been expanded and lowes claims that the Kobalt cordless system is not going anywhere. Ive already used the **** out of the drill. Had to drill a bunch of 1" holes using a hole saw in a row in a steel plate panel on skyjack scissor lifts. Probably 15 in a row. The 2ah battery held on all the way through. The c3 would have been switched out halfway through.
