It's here! The Craftsman 1950's CD is finished. Now everything Craftsman ever put in one of Sears Power Tools, Hand Tools, and Sears Big Book catalogs from 1927 - 1959 plus tools from 1905, 1910, and blacksmith tools and lathes from 1912, is available on CD. Also included are numerous photos along with photos of every Craftsman ratchet, fun stuff, nostalgia and inventions and technology for the 50's decade.

Very cool! Let us know how/when/where they will be available.

I assume you've seen the Old Woodworking Machines website at http://www.owwm.com/ They concentrate on information on saws, wood lathes, etc. but there is a lot of good reprinted information there on old Craftsman tools, including catalogs, owner's manuals and parts manuals.

They are available now for purchase by contacting me. They are available on adobe acrobat format for best viewing. They are very professional looking with my goal of getting them on Sears shelves when I am finished with all 9 CDs. 20's through 00's. I'm selling some advance copies for feedback. So far through Ebay and with other tool collectors I have had a 100% satisfaction rating. All the catalog covers are digitally corrected to their former glory. Over 14,000 pages in total had to be carefully removed from either the Craftsman catalogs or by taking apart original Sears big books from 1927 through the present. To get all the detail and get the pages to lie flat for scanning to be enjoyed by all, every Sears big book catalog, both spring/summer and fall/winter, from every year from 1928 though their last year of 1993, had to be sacraficed and tediously taken apart to get all the available Craftsman tools and products available. This is in addition to every Sears Craftsman Power Tool, and Hand Tool catalog.

I have also included a couple of short animated graphic Craftsman movies. Also there are a few original patents for some of the Craftsman ratchets, including one for their push button ratchet.

So if anyone is interested in purchasing the CDs, they are available separately by decade. So far the first 4 are available....the 20's through the 50's.

They are $25 each. plus 2.50 shipping each.

Available so far are:
1920's CD (also includes tools from 1905, 1910, and a complete 150 page blacksmith and lathe catalog from 1912)
1930's CD
1940's CD
1950's CD
1960's is in the works.

That gets you every Craftsman tool and product from 20 Sears big book catalogs. Plus fun stuff, nostalgia, and new technology for that period.

Every Craftsman Power tool catalog for that 10 year period.

Every Craftsman hand tool catalog for that 10 year period.

In addition to tool photos and photos of every Craftsman ratchet ever made along with years of production for each.

Digitally corrected catalog covers that are brought back to their former glory.

Two animated graphic Craftsman short movies that are set to music.

Some CDs have complete detailed patents for some Craftsman ratchets with diagrams.

Thousands of pages in high resolution that can be blown up in fine detail on the computer for easy viewing, including the fine print.

I have made all the pages accessible for personal use printing.

The CD cases and covers are both beautiful works of art encompasing Craftsman tool catalog art. Each CD decade has it's own artwork.

This project has taken over six years to collect and put together, it will have taken thousand of hours of tedious work to complete when I am done, not to mention many thousands of dollars in aquiring all the materials and supplies, and computer programs, and hiring a computer graphic artist to put together the animated graphics and CD case and covers. Some single Sears catalogs from the 30s with rare Norman Rockwell covers have cost me hundreds of dollars for a single catalog alone.

If you could get all the catalogs individually on Ebay for free for one decade they would still cost you $125-$150 in postage. Then you would have a pile of musty catalogs with lots of brittle pages.

This way over 80 years of Craftsman history can sit organized in a very small space next to your computer. No dirty hands from handling musty catalogs.

So when you put this all together, I think it is a really good deal. What do you guys think?

I accept money orders. Email me for the address
