FNG here. Tool addict as well  I agree that the Craftsman Club has gone down hill. One other note. Anyone here notice that when Sears has sales on their higher priced roll away cabinets, they seem to always be out of stock. About a few days after the sale, you finally get an email from the Craftsman Club, saying that your item is in (when the sale is over) :wtf:

Thats ok... In my case they didnt have any of the pry bars in stock, and I got a raincheck and 10% off when I went to buy them (if you go backa few posts you can see the whole story  )

as for canvas tool bags, I like them. Ive got 2 (ok, I have 1, dad has one) When I go to the track That bag gets filled with a few wrenches and sockets in particular to bring right into the hot grid for any last minute chassis adjustments. Its been a lifesaver

Well, I used my card today....

Picked up the 9 piece Pro wrench set, the chisel/punch set and the bag combo. Saved about $37.50 over the regular price.

I was this close || to getting the thin profile ratchet, but I held back...

It's funny you mention that... There was this one guy (I've talked to him before) that was quite friendly, but he was older. He was kinda cute...

I stopped by the local Sears store today and picked up a couple of things thinking I'll get 10% off since the Craftsman club sale is still on. Nope, they told me now they won't give you 10% off like they used to, so its just the items in the 4 page flyer that you can buy for any kind of discount. According to them they changed the rules about 4-5 months ago.

Anyway, maybe this was already covered in the last 4 pages of this thread...but it *****!

Online shopping... 10% of until 2/25

Saw this while browsing their site.

I was thinking of ordering the 6 piece socket sets (metric and sae) which are already 1/2 off ($15 each), so an extra 10% can't hurt. Looks like the 10% off is good for all the tools. This is not a club event, just a flat discount.

Thanks for posting the flyer.

That 25% off all open stock tools tells me it might be time to buy the Pro thin profile ratchets. They never go on sale, so this could be an opportunity.....if they have them on the shelf. Last time I went in, they only had the 3/8 version on the shelf, the 1/4 and 1/2 were sold out.

I'd still like to get the "big set" of Pro screwdrivers on sale, but looks like I have to continue to wait.

My thoughts exactly. I may go to the Mall store since they have a better selection than the Sears Hardware closeby.

Your welcome, I thought since BMWpower did it last time then I would go ahead and do it this time. I don't think the last flyer was 20 pages long though.

If anyone is interested in the twin halogen light stand (73828) on page 7 then don't wait until CC starts. It is on sale for 19.99 this week which is 10.00 less then it will be during the CC sale. I picked one up two days ago and I am happy with mine (for 19.99). It doesn't have the normal twisting lock mechanism for the stand, there are positive locks on it instead.

No matter what I do, I can never seem to get notification of these sales. They offer an email signup...I signup but never get any notices. They have a mailing list...I signup but never get any flyers. I don't go to the store enough to check up for sales. I usually buy something when I need it, which is not the most economical way. What gives?

What does everyone else do to keep up on these dates?

I sent a sign up card to sears a few weeks ago and never received anything so last night I found an 800 number on the web for craftsman club and called it. Turns out they had my original craftsman club account and it was placed in inactive status because they hadn't seen any activity for some time. He placed me back in active status and said I should receive something soon, I think a new card. In the mean time he said I can just use my pohone number to get sale prices.

Thanks Spence.
Now I have a couple of days to plan a bank robbery and still get the special prices.

Seriously ... thanks for the effort.

Oooh. Craftsman.com is temporarily closed for site enhancements. I hope they are doing a complete redesign.
