Okay, bear with me.. I do not have a scanner, but my wife just got a new digital camera and I attempted to photograph the Craftsman Club flier for those who won't get one (read: everybody else). I apologize about the quality up front... if the images are too small for you to make out the text, try right clicking each picture, saving it to your desktop, and then opening each picture with Windows picture and fax viewer. You can zoom in on the stuff you want to see then... IF YOU ARE USING DIAL-UP, GO MAKE A SANDWICH...

Here we go:

Thanks!

Alas, nothing of interest again. How many times are they gonna put those darn pry bars on sale?

I wonder if that CompuCarve is any good?

What if I don't have Windows Picture and Fax Viewer? Should I just GO MAKE A SANDWICH?

Seriously, looks great here on my Mac. Thanks!

I think I need that clamp-on ammeter. I can't justify the cost of a Fluke for as often as I'd use it.

Heck, they are probably made in the same plant these days, anyway:

EDIT: Wow, I was halfway kidding when I posted that, but...

I missed that.

So you clamp it on the wire and measure voltage and amperage that way?

Yes, it works by induction, like an air-core transformer. They can be handy for measuring things like motor startup current, vehicle starter diagnosis, etc.

They don't meaure voltage with the clamp, only current. They have a built in conventional voltmeter usually.

Make sure you buy one for DC and AC if you want to use it on a car, usually they are only AC, AC/DC ones cost more.

So I bought the 16gal shop vac today. A search on this board led me to believe it would be extremely loud. I fired it up expecting I'd want to go grab my ear protection, but I personally thought it was rather quiet. I'm not a shop vac expert, I don't use 'em a lot, and the only thing I have to compare it to is my Shop Vac 1x1 (1gal, 1hp) which is downright shrill and I DO wear ear protection when using it. I didn't really think the 16gal is any louder than any household vac I've used, and it seems to have great suction. My biggest complaint is that the cord could be higher quality, it was very stiff but it was only 47 degrees in my shop at the time. Considering I'll likely use this once a month to get to places I can't easily sweep in my shop, I don't think I coulda done better for the $

I also picked up the 10" digital level (which is what told me it was 47 degrees). Oddly it displays the temp for a few seconds when you first turn it on, something about if it's operating within optimal temperature. Anyway I think the level is slick, wish I woulda had it for the staircase I JUST completed. It's basically a poor man's digital protractor, but it's too large to use on something like a driveshaft or pinion snout..... but ya might be able to use it on a flat top knuckle

I also got the 4 piece pick set, but not much to say there.
