it's really a joke now, some of the club prices these days are higher than sometimes you would catch on a weekly sale.

I'm no authority on the subject, but I would say around Christmas.

If you are just wandering thru SEARS, find out where the clearance area is located. When they had the 80th Anniversary items on sale, the group of three(3) ratchets were marked down, and then again. I saw a post on here and went down and got a set for around $20, whereas they listed for $79.00, and are now $89.00. You never know what you will find that is not being advertised.

Or you could run across a few pair of Klein Journeyman pump pliers, needlenose, and side cutters marked down from $30 to $2. :bounce:

I think the best deal in this weeks CC flyer are the Cman Pro pry bars. I beat the **** out of mine last weekend replacing a sending unit and can't say enough good about them. Those stainless caps take a beating!

I have been waiting for my Craftsman Club Member ID for 2 months now by mail. Have not received any. One call to their Customer Service, gave my phone number / address and I got the ID number. Way to go SEARS.

Glad to know that it now automatically show some club discounts on my shopping cart. However I don't know for which items it was applied to.

Exactly, tonight I scored an $80.00 Craftsman 17243 Scrolling Sabre Saw with Case (New) for $30.00 in the clearance section. Funny thing is I saw a dirty and well used one (same model) at a pawn shop earlier today for $70.00. I think I did well. :)

Also traded in a used and abused 5/16 screwdriver and a 1/2" dr. extension with no problems at all.
