I have belonged to this for a couple of years and used to get flyer with deeper discounts for members over the sale merchandise. I haven't received one for some time. I went to Sears website but the club seems to offer nothing other than a reward system for you purchases. Does Sears still offer discounts to club members? Do they still send sales flyers? Their club website doesn't seem to work well and I can't see any info there.

Just got a flyer a few days ago, they come regularly, but I've heard a lot of stories where they just suddenly cease...who knows?

Yesterday Craftsman Club members were able to get Black Friday pricing (ecxluding doorbusters). However, I never got an e-mail about it like I was supposed to.

I haven't received a circular now for at least 6 mos. When I logged onto the club website there was nothing showing any sale items just forums and other fairly useless info. I always bought stuff....clerks always said we don't need to see card or use number so I guess they had no way to track purchases and maybe I am considered a non buyer. Is there anywhere I can see what's on sale each month?

Go to www.craftsman.com, then sign in with your email address and password. Navigate to the member homepage and scroll to the bottom. You'll see a map of the U.S. with the words "Craftsman Club Saver Day Deals" above it. Click on the region in which you reside and the flyer will come up on your screen.

I don't see how you can get the member prices without the salesperson swiping your club card. They always ask for mine and the discount price doesn't show up until they swipe the club card.

I get the emails regularly. I didn't get the catalogs for several months, so I called the Craftsman Club and then they started coming regularly again.

When you are in the store, you can always ask them to let you look at the one they keep behind the counter.

I'm not sure why being in the "Craftsman club" is even special anymore. I wanted to buy a table saw for the price in the circular I got in the mail and the saw happened to be on sale in the store for the craftsman club price. I was told I couldn't get the 10% off the sale price. I asked why be in the club then and they couldn't answer. The club prices seem to always be normal sale prices now in the circular. Now I recieve another sales ad basically. I remember when you'd get 10% off whatever price was on the tool then they started to limit it to what was in the circular and now you don't get anything off. They handed me a reward program info booklet last time and I declined. I'm not spending hundreds of dollars to get $5 back.
They would have got more money from me if they left the original program in place. Now it's a joke so I don't buy unless I really need it now.

The club prices are not always the same as a sale price. They are almost always lower. Just because you caught one that was the same didn't entitle you to an extra 10% off.

"now you don't get anything off." This is just incorrect.

For anyone who is a member, you have to be signed in with your user name and password, as charlie NJ mentioned. When you put something in your cart, the Craftsman Club discounted price will be shown.

Currenly, there is a November 1 - 28 flier in effect. I recently received a November 29 - January 2 flier. It might just be Christmas related, but in the recent past, there was just one week in the month that the Club deals applied.

That should'nt matter. I have bought both ways. Always have my club card ready before they ask. As stated before I don't see how you can get the discount without them swiping your card.

It does matter. If he pays with cash, as far as Sears knows, it's just Joe Schmo buying something.

If he uses his Sears card, it'll automatically know if he is in the Craftsman Club and record the transaction that his craftsman club is still active.

Now if he pays with cash, he needs to swipe his club card to keep that active. If he doesn't swipe the club card, the cashier can always override it or swipe a "store" club card. I've seen many club cards laying at the register.

The Craftsman Club is not like it used to be, yes you can still get stuff cheaper, the stuff in the flyers. When it first came out, there was a window, maybe 5 days, when you could get the extra 10% off any of the craftsman stuff.

It took me over a year, of calling once a month, to receive my fliers. Now they want to "be environmentally friendly", aka Spam your inbox.

Once you have been with the club a while, it seems there are less things to buy, as the same general things go on sale, over and over and over and over and etc.....

There are still some good deals, like the percent off open stock sockets, but they don't happen all the time. The lack of 10% off anything is what really killed it. The fact a lot of what I have looked for is catalog/internet only, doesn't help either.

I have been a member for alot of years. Sears has sent me three different cards. I have never gotten flyers. I have taken the cards out of my wallet after so long a period with no activity because I thought the club had gone away. Then a new card would show up in the mail.
I have a friend who signed up, never buys tools and gets more flyers, calanders, and online stuff that he complains about it.

The last time I tried using mine was 3-4 years ago. I bought some tools, showed my card and the register person looked at me like I had 2 heads. I asked if I could get a discount using the card and was told no. I tried it again a few weeks later and go the same response. I threw it away when I walked out the door.

I learned that if the Craftsman Club card isn't used for some time, the account dies & you have to start a new one...I get the flyers & everytime I buy a tool, I show the salesperson my club card even though I don't use a Sears card for the purchase.
