Picked up a bunch of BE and C-** sockets, rats, extensions and speeders at the flea. These two sockets were in the fray and I've not seen a C-*** nor a CM code before. Any ideas? FYI that they appear to be manufactured exactly like the Snap-On made sockets (C-**).
Sorry folks, forgot pics!

This is the logo on the box they "might" have come in.

Lauver's date code thread here at GJ says :
Cxx = Probably New Britain or Hinsdale, ca. 1932 - 1936

However, his more up to date thread over at Garage Gazette says :
C-nn = Snap-on, ca. 1932 - 1936

The GJ verison of the list is here (updated 10/19/13) :

The more up to date GG version is here (updated 4/26/15) :

You should post your pictures on one of the threads. I think he visits the GG version more often.

I agree.
The CM code is a mystery, and not on his list. But I think we can agree that it looks like they're from the same factory, so they're more likely than not, also made by SnapOn.

You may have noted a new code for Lauver to explore.

No problem. It's a LOT of work but many things need updating since the gent at AA lost his passion. This is designed so everyone can contribute. Launching next week.
