I have a small Craftsman air compressor. Model #921.152100. It started smoking real bad, after I took it apart realized that one of the two capacitors was bulging and starting melt and burn. It was the running capacitor.

Sears lists the capacitor as discontinued. Any good places that sell capacitors? I have found several of the capacitors with the same electrical specs, but none of the capacitors have the the threaded nut/bolt mounting hardware.

Do you NEED the same mounting stuff? Most I've seen have sheet metal clips at the good end, or just zip ties at the not so good end. Other than termination and size (which have never been an issue for me) I've never thought to look at anything but rating.

I usually get mine from Grainger, although last year I was in an HVAC supply place and they had common HVAC ones stupid cheap. Never been expensive enough to make me care, though.
