i seen this at sears today and it caught my eye. I could see this coming in handy at the race track or even at work so i dont have to drag an air caddy out to a car w/ a flat.

so has anyone bought one and put it through the ringer? how many tires can you air up on a battery pack? is it slow to pump a tire up or? etc etc.

They are pretty much all same. Very slow fill, good for adding 4-5 psi in hurry. I'd rather buy 12v corded one.

Best place to find out about 12v tire pumps are the rock crawler forums, those big tires get bled down to like 8 or 10 psi and need to be refilled before the drive home.

Viair gets good reviews, HF has $25 clone many like, the C3 doesn't appear to like "big" inflation jobs as in slow and hot or cycling off, lithium pack suggested instead of nicad.

Link to test (doesn't as I recall include the C3).

All that said, if I buy into the C3 system I'm getting the inflator too. This HF might be a smarter buy, runs off the car battery.

I got it, does the job. No complaints here. I only topped off tires that were down a few psi though so haven't pushed it.

I really wish Dewalt would make an 18v one. I track my Corvette and already have an 18v impact and light on site.
