Can anyone help me identify the:
Model number
DOM
Manufacturer
Any Equivalents from the genuine manufacture
Aprox Value?


I’ve looked around and can’t find much other then it looks very similar to possibly a palmgren. Really wanting to know if this was USA made or not

-Don't know vintage or price of these but they can be of limited used for drilling holes. For milling, even light cuts, they are useless. If considering using this type for milling in a drill press they're dangerous, don't do it.

I agree. Been working with drill presses for many years and never used a cross slide vise even when one was nearby. And milling in a drill press is a definite no no.

I do have a mill lathe combo unit do this if only for drilling and I really do like it so far. Been very useful as far as setup goes.

-I'm glad it works for you in what you need to do. My main criticism was about using these for milling in a drill press, a dangerous idea due to mounting a taper with no means of retention in the spindle. Collet retention is ok.

-Cross slides can work if the cuts are very light, wall finish isn't very important, or tolerances aren't very tight. If that's all I had to get the job done then I'd be glad I had it too, I'm just not a fan of them and try to discourage others from buying them to save money but have big expectations with the results. Not knocking your equipment or circumstances, there have been times I wished I had one when I had no other choices.
