Anyone have these? Are they considered "long" or regular length? Would like to hear your reviews on these wrenches, thanks.

there have been a few threads on them such as

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30804

The general consensus from people who have never touched one is that its a gimmick. Personally i think they're great [and yes i actually own them]. Will it replace a normal combo wrench? No. Does it work better than a combo wrench space permitting? Absolutely. About the gist of it.

As to their size, they're very hefty wrenches and quite long to boot [think Cman Pro wrench length]. The Gearwrench X-Beams [same idea same parent company] are substantially slimmer along the beam and have no offset and as a result are not reversible, if that might appeal to you as well. I think cripe has them on ebay for $35 per 8pc set.

Thanks! When would be a good time to get these, if I wanted to get them really cheap?

Cman ratcheting version? As far as i'm concerned, now. With the sale price and a couple $5 off coupons they go down $70 + tax. This is the lowest price i've ever seen them by far. Previously the best i've seen is a sale price of $100+ whatever added sales are going on, usually best you could manage is around $85. You could chance that they ride these sale prices into a midnight madness event sunday evening [15% off instead of 10%] but i wouldnt hold my breath. The only other thing you could hope for is that they pop up in a Cman Club Saver Days flyer [the non-ratcheting version do a few times a year] but again, wouldnt hold my breath they'd get below $70 /set.

Alternately sets do go on ebay occasionally for between $60-$80 and in very very rare instances for $50ish.

Have GearWrench ratcheting X-Beams which are pretty much the same thing. Haven't used them all that much, can't give a thumbs up or down. What I do know is there will be occasional clearance issues in tight spaces due to the X-Beam/Cross Force design.

Best deals to get on tools at Sears would be your big holidays; Fathers Day and Black Friday being the best shopping days for tools

I'd like to point out that the Cross Force and the regular reversible are the last USA made Craftsman ratcheting wrench products.

Gearwrench X-Beam are Taiwan.

Sorry, when I was in Sears the other day the ratcheting cross force and fixed cross force on display were made in China.:(
