We have a Sears Outlet here and I stopped in yesterday. I picked up 5 sears anti fatigue mats for $14 each (regularly-$40), High Top Work Table for $30 (regularly - $100) and a 42" Stainless 5 Drawer Chest for $260 (regularly $400).

I really like the chest, it was nicer than the other chests for the same price, handles are better, heavier, cover over the lock mechanism, shocks... Is this chest better than the HF chest, in terms of value for the money?

WE used to have an outlet right down the road from my house, but they closed it. Man do I miss that. They had some really good deals on stuff in there sometimes.

They have some decent sales even in the stores. Guy in the local Sears on Saturday bought a 40" black Grip Latch bottom and top. He only paid about $480 after sales and discounts for the bottom box. Hell I paid that for my Quiet Glide bottom last year and thought I got a deal. The outlet store here closed too, closest one is in Arlington - about 200 miles. Road trip!

Most all stainless boxes I have seen are made from thinner metal...Didn't care for that part. Looks nice though.

So I went to HF today and got the bottom boxes. They don't match, but it was all relatively inexpensive with the 20% off coupons. These won't be for mechanics tools, I'm going to use them for woodworking and woodturning tools, chucks and parts bins for screws, bolts, biscuits, dowels and pen kits. What do you think?

The mats are very nice quality. I used a couple on the floor in front of the tool boxes. Got two for less than $5 each at Kmart about a year ago.

The full length drawers are nice, I bought a sngle 40" drawer a few months ago, all the air tools are in it along with the impact sockets.
