Happy New Years everyone I have a quick question. I have a Craftsman garage door opener and I think my daughter was pushing the buttons and I think she changed the code. How can I reprogram it without knowing the code. Any thing would help. I hope this is the right place for this. Thanks.

Google "Craftsman garage door opener manual" and you will find a pdf that you can download. It will have instructions. It will help if you have the model number. I had a similar issue and that's how I fixed it (I don't remember how or I would just tell you).

Locate your smart button. should be square button near the antenna, press that..DO NOT hold down, little light will come on.

go to your key pad, press in your code, hit and hold enter till the light on opener clicks on and off..All set!

Well if the code is the same (via the dip switches inside) then it probably needs a shadetree re-solder job. I end up doing this sometimes but not just the garage door clicker but other "remote" objects. Not really a big deal usually can tell with a magnifying glass eyeballing it where the connections are bunk (solder looks cracked). That's usually the problem with these.

Or it needs a new battery.
