Craftsman drill grinder on a disc sander

Anyway, you think it would work on a disc sander? Assuming there isn't too much runout I don't see a problem. It would be nice to have a little dedicated tool that I don't have to keep setting up. The question is speed and grit. 220 or 120 grit on a 9"wheel? 3450 or 1750 rpm?

I've got one mounted on my pedestal grinder. Haven't used it in years. It's more trouble to fiddle with that thing than buy a new bit. I wouldn't worry about grinding on the side of the wheel. You're supposed to use light pressure. As for using it on a sanding disc - I expect you'll burn through the discs before you sharpen the bit.
