Hey Guys, towards the end of summer, I picked up a new drill press. Since I knew I needed parts, I put a BOYD ad to find parts. Here is what I ended up with for my drill press. I then got some parts during the holidays as well.

Hey Jywilli! Hows the restoration coming?

I just picked up a 103.0305 and am about to start. It's my first restoration as part of a new hobby. I picked mine up off a not-so-local craigslist for $40.

It runs incredibly well. The only issues I'm having with mine are a missing handle, and the spring return assembly and cover are missing, which from what I can gather is a very common problem. If you have any input on where I can find those parts, I'd be immensely appreciative!

Love the paint color by the way!

Congrats on the Drill Press. You need to join the following sites:

www.owwm.org

www.vintagemachinery.org

These are the sites for old wood working machines. I am on that site and there are people more on their game when it comes to restoring. 2nd site has manuals for old machines. Only manuals for our press is the 103.0305. Here is a good thread on the Drill Press

Manual:

Make sure you take plenty of photos when you tear it down.

Not sure on bolt that is circled, I don't have that. When you post on OWWM, make sure you post your pictures of your drill press.

I may have a spring and return cover from an Atlas. Should fit, may not be a perfect cosmetic match.

I'd be very interested in that! I'm actually putting this together for personal use, so I don't need a perfect cosmetic match. Let me know how much you want for it and we'll set something up!

Thanks alot!

Any idea why the link to the manual won't work?
