Craftsman Drill Press with 3/32" play in the Quill, Spindle, Chuck Assembly.
Found the Set Screw in the Spindle Collar loose the other day. Causing the entire Quill, Spindle, Chuck Assembly to drop down a few inches. Realigned the Spindle Collar with the "Original Divot" in the Spindle. Cleaned up the threads in the Spindle Collar and the Set Screw and reassembled with some Blue Thread Locker. Now I have approximately 3/32" play under the Spindle Collar where the Rubber Washer meets up with the Washer at the top of the Quill. Do I need to readjust the Spindle Collar and Set Screw or maybe the Feed Stop Bracket to eliminate this 3/32" gap?
