A gentleman who lives near me posted an ad for a Craftsman drill press on Nextdoor. The best part was the price---free!!! I just happened to see the ad 12 minutes after he posted it, so I jumped on it. It works fine, but there are a few cobbled together parts, such as the table lock.
It also came with a Montgomery Ward Powr-Kraft 1/3 HP motor, which is reversible. He also gave me a morticing attachment. I don't know if I'll ever use that, but it's nice to have. The whole rig needs a good cleanup, but I think it should work out just fine for me.
