I am a newbie with these old drill presses, but some of your restorations have made me really jealous.

This one has been floating around on Craigslist near me and I was wondering whether anybody could help me identify it and tell me whether it is worth doing a restoration on:

When looking at these old presses, what should I be looking for? Any help or advice is always appreciated.

Thanks!

The one for $150 is a much better press but I think I would end up with both

First, what do you plan to drill? if wood, or soft metals any of them posted will do the deed.

If you plan to drill 3/8" or larger in steel, then these are al fairly high speed for that.

All of them are decent deals for good quality presses, (unless there are hidden issues like a worn/sloppy quill in the head)
