Hello all, my first time posting on here I've been following the forum for awhile but never posted but anyways..

I finally talked my father in law to pass down one of his drill presses. He got it from a previous job back in the day. So I was wondering if anybody knew any information about it (year, experience with same model, anybody have same model, etc.) But also I got it home the other day and decided to try her out on some scrap metal and the holes weren't perfectly circular, they were more like a rounded triangle any ideas on how to correct this?? Could it be the drill bit? Any information or tips appreciated.

Thanks David

That looks like a relatively new press, 1990's and later. It's probably made in China, maybe Taiwan. It may not be as cool as a 1950's Craftsman 150 drill press but it has a 20" depth, hand crank table raising mechanism and 12 speeds versus 4 for the old ones. Regular drills can make a triangular hole, try starting with a smaller bit first, slow the speed down (get a chart for speed depending on material and bit size) and make sure you are using quality sharp bits.

And welcome to GJ!
