Hello, I have a bench top craftsman king seeley drill press that I’m restoring. I am using timken 6202 for the quill bearings but the ID of the timken is not large enough to fit the shaft. Any suggestions?

Edited for correct information of the bearing

Do you have a dial/digital caliper to measure the ID of the bearing and the OD of the shaft?

Edit: according to this very informative thread you need a 6202 for quill bearings.

Local shop had one really nice lady looked at say looks like a 5/8 ID but let’s measure it. Came back with two bearing 6202. Installed on the quill and the machine is almost done. Thanks for the information.

Those local shops are awesome, I try to use ours when needed to hopefully help keep them around.

Post some pictures of it when you are done!
