I found this drill press online near me for sale. Model #137.229201 and I know it is a 20 inch floor model, 2hp motor, 3/4 inch chuck. Anybody have any idea when it was made? All I can find is it was available in 2010. I wouldn't pay what she is asking, but this thing looks like it was just unboxed. It is truly mint without any dings, dents or scratches. It belongs to a lady who did some kind of metal work and she obviously took great care of it.
If you have any personal knowledge of this drill press, that would also be appreciated. It is built like a tank and weighs almost 300 lbs.

No personal info on it but on Google I found a post that said it was made by Rexon, a Taiwan tool company so that's usually a plus. Google "Craftsman 137.229201" and you can find out more about it. Check Ebay "completed listings" and see if you can get a feel for what a current market value might be.

I did some quick-and-dirty research on this exact same drill press model a couple of years ago; the general consensus is it's a solid unit and one of the better units offered under the Craftsman label. Not sure on the production date but I would guess sometime after 2005. Seller was asking $300 and I passed on it at the time as it was too big for my needs.

Thanks guys, sort of gives me a reference point. It is almost too big for my needs but if it is a solid unit might be worth it. I think I would give her $300 for it, looks way more solid and built better than most of the **** available today.
