A friend has her ex-husband's drill press. It's been sitting in the garage for years, and she's interested in selling it. I would like to offer her a fair price.

I think it is probably 1937, but would welcome expert opinions.

Also would like some help with what to offer: assuming it doesn't have major problems, what would be a reasonable price for a 1930s Craftsman drill press?

Followup questions: (the drill press is now set up in my shop)
1. What is the best option for replacing the return spring? what I see on eBay, etc look like they are made for later models. Is there supposed to be a cap over the spring in this model?
2. Both of the pulleys are not running true. The quill pulley has obvious damage. I pulled them and the shafts both seem to be straight and run true. I am having some trouble finding a replacement for the splined quill pulley. Any suggestions on where to look or how to search? There is a vintage one on eBay, but the price seems too steep -- $150...Would make my free drill press begin to be pricey
