Craftsman drill set

Anyone have any experience with something like this?

It looks like a drill set where the spade heads are interchangable and the bits are twisted steel.

I picked up a complete (I think) set in a 'buy it all' deal yesterday.

Looks exactly like you say a spade bit set that is interchangeable. It's for boring holes in wood. I have a similair set but instead of individual heads you can adjust the cutter to any size using an Allen key.
