Today I bought a box of ratchets, extensions and flex joints from a pawn shop. It was a mix of Craftsman, S&K, Snap On and a few off shore brands. Three of the extensions, all Craftsman, are marked Taiwan with an EE as maker. These are the first ones I've seen marked EE and the quality of them is as good as any Craftsman from that time frame (late '80's or so). Also, one of the Craftsman 1/2" ratchets has an oil port at the top of the head, also a first one I've had! All in all, I'm happy with my purchase!

I have a ratchet, extension, and sockets all marked EE Taiwan. They came in an older box I bought, but I assume they came together in a set. The ratchet looks Stanley-made. They seem to be decent quality, but I've never actually used them.

It was either back in the 80's or early 90's (mind is blank) when craftsman started to have some tools like sockets made overseas, and some people thought they just started doing it; Everyone back then made such a big fuss that they backed off.

I have some EE stamped crafty sockets but they are stamped made in USA

I believe the part numbers were the same as other branded craftsman series, and they were also stamped on the side of the sockets with the word Taiwan. Interesting what time can do within the decades, when Stanley tried it in the 1980's, the public went ape shxt, and craftsman had to back away. Then decades later the flood gates roared open, and a floodwall of Chinese and Taiwan craftsman tools flooded the market, but by then, us old geezers were dying off, the noise fell silent the war was lost and, well you know the outcome.

If I remember correctly I read an article on here that Stanley made the EE series for Craftsman and originally were stamping Made in USA on it but then got caught making them in Taiwan and had to switch the stamp on them to avoid a lawsuit.
