I'm thinking I wouldn't want to buy a tool with "CHINA" stamped on it; that's probably why GearWrench chose to leave it off. I can't figure out why Craftsman would do so. :headscrat

If I feel the need to but a "made in china" tool, it's going to be cheap and considered "disposable". There's now way I'm paying a premium for china tools.

That's a good policy, but it typically only works when USA-made alternatives are available.
