Reviews are really poor on both items. Might be better of spending that kind of coin on another quality brand, or go with the cheap Harbor Freight click torque wrenches.

I have the gw brand which looks exactly the same except the handle.
It had been fine except one didn't come on at some point but the next day it did.

I paid much more than $80 back then

Don't keep the batteries in it when not using because it seems to cause issues and drain the batteries and always have clicker for backup

Seriously. Back in the days of the Craftsman Industrial blow-outs 2 years ago or so, Sears would toss 15 pounds of loose full polish wrenches and a few used pieces of TP in a wet paper bag and send it out UPS. I returned many sets that broke open and lost pieces to the store until I got complete sets. I wouldn't buy any kind of precision item from them. They apparently do no reverse logistics or analytics.

I just received (yesterday) a 3lb dead blow hammer, that was packed in a bubble wrap envelope. No box, just the envelope.

I received a $500 samsung tablet in a bubble envelope.... When the order is sent out to an individual store rather than their warehouse, the packaging is VERY hit or miss. Mostly miss.

The nice thing about these is that they don't lose calibration as there is no mechanical thing that wears. It's also very accurate. The problems reported on these torque wrenches are mostly related to poor electrical contacts on a ribbon cable and is an easy fix:

Well worth that price!

If I get something shipped to store for pick up do they get there in better shape and better packed?

Not really for small items like this. For larger or heavy items it might make a difference if your local delivery guy hates large heavy packages.
