Noticed this while trying to organize my home box tonight, thought it was intresting. Lettering rolled onto wrong end. Its an EE- series. Anybody else got mis-marked sockets ? Phone takes crappy pics-sorry.

I had a craftsman 3/8 swivel chrome in 14 or 15 mm and it was stamped on the wrong end, made it look like you had it upside down on the socket rail. I broke it though and never bothered warranting it because I don't feel its worth my time for such a disappointing tool that will just break again.

I had a dual marked impact socket that was marked metric size in the yellow lettering but was a standard sized socket stamped in SAE.I had a hard time convincing the person at sears that it is not just how they make them metric.LOL

I,ve got a Halfords (Gearwrench) 1/4" drive deep 8mm socket marked at the wrong end, looks upside down on the rail, slightly annoying.

I've got a metric set of Craftsman t-handle drivers where the 7mm is really a 10mm. It was really aggravating the first time I discovered this and was in the middle of a project. I still have not returned it for an exchange...

I have a 3/16 that is marked 9/32. It came in a set and rather than warranty it, I kept it and bought one off the rack to replace it in my box.

A double stamped craftman socket.

Any idea how old that socket it? I have the deep version of it with the same style of stamping.

I checked out a new set of SK sockets the other day at a local dealer that carries them. Saw some of the same things. Maybe it's a common thing to have oddball engraving....

I've misplaced it now but last year at the pawn shop I picked up a 1mm socket. it is actually a 15mm. only reason that I bought it was just so I could say I had a 1mm socket.
