Hey I was in sears the other day and looked at these newer evolv combination wrenches which come with the cardboard packaging. Honestly they look pretty good. They are full polish and look to be longer than normal rp wrenches and he forging, fit, and finish look much better than my last craftsman rp set.

They look very similar to the northern tool industrial wrenches and also the ace hardware brand wrenches. Anyone have these or any opinion on their quality? They are very cheap and I am thinking about pickig some up to throw in the trunk.

Ps. I searched the site but did not find much on them.

From what I have seen on this site, they are pretty decent quality. Would be a good starter set for a home wrench or as a good set for in your vehicle.

IIRC the evolve stuff is China. On a side note Taiwan is ROC - Republic of China...

I think Sears is under selling or under mining the Craftsman brand by selling these.

Then they are destroying the Craftsman line because the quality is so bad.

Sears is selling almost every brand of tool these days on thier web site. The only think is that they are at full list price or above. Some one there has no clue about tools and what a deep discount you can get from many places. They are having them drop shipped so they don't care.

The Craftsman site has always been a mess. When you go to look for a tool it is like tossing the pick up stick up in the air and when they scatter that is what shows up on the page. I can never find what I am looking for. Some times things come up and sometimes not. Nothing is in order and I refuse to use the site anymore.

As for Sears parts. They do carry parts for all appliances and equipment but thier prices are higher than everone else.

I have a Craftsman riding mower. It is a 4500 series. I got it cheap on a return. That is another story for another day. Thier air filters are over $20 and the oil filters are over $12. I go on line and find very good after market filters for $5 and $4. I buy everthing from a place in Oklahoma. I buy thing by the case for all my small engines.

Sears has too many holes in its business model. It is just a matter of time until they sink. The for got what built the store and brand. A good product and a good service.

Sears power tools and machinery are all junk in my book. Things were so much better 40 years ago or more. I remember the day you went to Sears now I want to buy pass it. I still buy thier old sockets and tools to give to those in my family who need tools. The new ratchets are so loose and full of slop you would think they were like an old person needing a joint replacement. LOL

Who cares were they whre they are made. For the money the Evolv tools are great to put in the trunk or give to the grand kids to fix thier bikes etc.

The are good enough for home use. 90 percent of the people would never know the difference between those and Snap-on.
