How does the seller make anything at -$1.00? I could not sell them that cheap, even if I got them free.

there's no way it goes negative on the sellers profits unless shipping exceeds it. the fees for ebay and paypal are a percentage of the sale, usually adding up to about 10-12%. i'm guessing the seller is shipping out with 1st class postage... so, maybe making a buck or so on these... but man, for the time and effort to list, package it, have the post office come pick it up, etc... $1-$2 seems like less than minimum wage.

Too bad I have more 3" extensions than I know what to do with. Wonder what the longer 1/2" ones went for? Now I am going to spend some time looking at what else he has.

power selling do get a discount on their selling fees, but if you sell a lot volume makes money so if he can sell 20 a day and make a $1 on each one and it only take him an hour to package them, then that is $20 an hour and how many people buy more than one, so he can combine shipping and make more money

Thanks for this. Picked up a couple of 1/4"

Wonder why there are 205 people watching this auction? What's to watch - him running out of extensions?

My guess is that the seller buys Craftsman mechanic's tool sets on sale to part out and sell on eBay, and he has lots of these short extensions left over. So he's selling them cheap just to see them gone.

People sitting on NOS Made in USA Craftsman tools are going to be making money for years.

Wow.....too bad the longer 1/4" ones aren't as cheap. 6" is $7.95 and 14" is $16.95. Been looking for those. Gotta hold off for now though. Saved the auction for future reference though, Thanks OP!

I've gotten some stuff from this seller before. Good deals. Seems like he added some more 1/4 stuff that was out of stock last time I checked.

Just note that not 100% of the stuff he sells is USA made, but if he says it is in the item title or description, it is.
