My brother gave me a Craftsman Jack. I am thinking it is several years old, but looks new. I added some fluid to it and bled the air. Under load it has a leak at the pump plunger. So, I need a pump plunger o-ring. I go to look up this jack and there is nothing on it anywhere. It says Craftsman 50186. It actually starts with a small 9 that is underlined. Anyway, there is nothing online about this jack.

I have a feeling that there will be no part for this jack. If anyone might know what size o-ring might work, would appreciate it.

Are you sure it is not 50168. That is a 4 ton that comes up. If I run your number it defaults to 50139, a 3 ton. Call Sears Parts Direct and maybe you can at least get the number straightened out. That is a model number, probably from the vendor, not the longer Sears model number. I did find similar numbers like 50186 and 50139. If you can get the Sears model number, then there are other companies that have extensive stocks rebuild kits.

GOT IT!! Go to www.hcrcnow.com and run your number, 9 50186. It is a Sears 3 ton. They will take it from there. Scratch previous suggestion. I was hoping for a lead from Sears. They are usually of very little help and forget about parts.

Sears used the first digit, in this case 9 underscore to indicate the department. It may or may not appear in model codes as you search. Just mentioning this in case anyone else is later reading this. You may need to search two parts #'s, with and without the "9".

Why not just pull the current o-ring out, size it, and order a new one in the same size? No reason to go through Sears for a generic $0.50 part, likely spending more time trying to find model numbers and whatnot than just measuring and getting the same thing. I get a lot of odd ball o-rings for various ancient equipment through my local bearing supply house, but there are also a lot of options online if you measure it.
