Hello all,

I'm beginning the process of a workshop build out of my 2 car garage.
One of the tools I'll be restoring is a 50's Craftsman Floor Model Table Saw.
It was a craigslist find that I paid too much for but I had been searching a while and these are becoming increasingly rare. I've seen several beautiful restorations here and on the other forums and hope come close on this build.
Details of the saw -
1950's Model 103.24440
Missing original fence and replaced at some point with a Delta Jet Lock. I am looking to replace with either a Vega 50 pro or a Delta T2/T3.
Presently painted over with a dark brown color
Crank wheels are broken with only the center and spokes remaining - planning to either replicate original looking or use the modified Grizzly's in their place.
Webbed table wings on each side along with 2 solid steel additional wings (not the solid cast iron.) I may replace the webbed and steel wings with cast iron wings (possibly with the built in router cutout to replace my router table.)
I've got the saw torn down to it's major components and will soon start the rebuild process. I'm planning on a bare metal restoration and will replace the belts and bearings on the saw. I'll evaluate the condition of other components along the way, replacing as necessary and dependent on the availability of spare parts. I do have a 1 HP 3450 period correct motor I bought off of a gentleman on one of the other forums that is freshly built which will go on this build. Though not decided on the color yet, I'm leaning towards a metallic charcoal gray satin. I don't want to go too dark or too light. Will be painting the other tools in the shop to match. Attached are pictures of it in it's present state (prior to the full teardown.) I'll post more pictures as I make progress on the restoration.

Thanks all for the inspiration to take on the rebuild. I'm sure I'll have questions along the way. If anyone has a lead on the crank wheels, I'd love to get ahold of a set (even in poor condition.)
