Hi All,
Looking for a tilt gear for the above saw, its a compound or double gear 40 teeth on the larger outside and 20 teeth on the smaller hub. I believe it measures 1 3/4" and 7/8" O.D. based on other threads Ive read. Any suggestions? This is a saw my dad had and I grew up with it. Not ready to retire it or me for that matter.

Thanks, Dennis

You will probably have to find a donor saw or one that has been parted out on ebay. Don't forget Craigslist.

Thanks. I've actually found multiple saws on Craigslist which I've reached out to but can't seem to get a reply. Also found most every other part on eBay except that gear. Frustrating.

I tried. Surprisingly, sears parts lists all the diagrams and parts lists but other than a few screws, most is obsolete. I'm assuming all the 103.*** models had this same tilt mechanism. The killer is there is one on Craigslist 20 miles from me for $25, the author has not replied and gives little contact info.
Still looking.

I see you found the other thread on here with pictures of a gear someone kept.

Good luck finding one. It's a handsome saw.

If you can determine who made the saw, you might try Toolpartsdirect.com They seem to have parts for everything.

Patience, I had one of those for years, and recently repaired one for a friend. He was in a hurry, I found a complete trunion assembly on ebay. The next week I saw a complete saw on CL for half of what he paid for the ebay part.

Here's one for the campfire. I found a complete saw 4 1/2 hrs away at a reasonable price. I took the day and went for a drive. The owner had left it in his driveway for me. As I approached it I was pleased with what I saw, until I glanced inside. The saw was 99.9% complete. The .01% that was missing was the tilt gear. What where the chances.
Well, I now have spare parts to trade for a gear.

Hello
I just pick one of these saw up. I am going to part it out. I have the part you are looking for. One more thing this saw has a craftsman jointer add on. Never seen that before. Will sell or trade for extension wings for 113 model.

Hi Stagebrat, Mine too has the 4" jointer attachment, its a handy addition. I am most definately interested in the gear. I may even be interested in the jointer for parts. Contact me direct or through the forum. [email protected]
