Their 12V line seems to be doing very well, but someone at Craftsman saw a hole in the 4v market.
I wrote a detailed Craftsman 4v tool preview via TG if you're interested in details.
Anyways, there will be a screwdriver, shears, roatary tool, soldering iron, headphones, and flashlight.
What the heck can you do with a 4-volt rotary tool? A 6-watt 900-degree soldering iron? 900 degrees is overkill for circuitry & soldering and 6W is likely underpowered for pipes and such.
It looks like the tools are ryobi clones, but that may be a good thing since the ryobis are usually well reviewed.
I'd have to say that the screwdriver looks most appealing - 4v w/ clutch? Could be alright for random applications that don't quite call for 12V or 18V.
