I have griplatch tool boxes, 8 drawer bottom rollaway. I love it.
I want another one, and can't find it anywhere.

Did Sears do away with them ?

I brought a Harbor freight tool box, and hate the drawers, and latches.

Many of the Craftsman boxes were made by International in Canada who went out of business a short while ago.

I have a 26" made by the OEM. Waterloo Industries. They still make them but they are pricey now. idk what SBD is doing with Waterloo as a brand.

Drawer latch look something like that?

Your picture looks like a griplatch tool box. Too bad, I'd buy one over a Snapon any day.
I found a used one, I may check it out.

In the states, craftsman boxes were made by Waterloo for decades. In the last few years of the brand dying before Stanley, some SPG International boxes made it into to line up, mostly the Edge series. As for buying a new grip latch box today, I think you are f'ed. Waterloo the brand name is pretty much dead so other than leftover stock distributors might still have, you aren't buying a Waterloo box. What you see for craftsman boxes in stores is about all there is. If you really like that style of drawer pulls and live anywhere near a Menards, take a look at the masterforce boxes.

Montezuma has this. I have a side box Craftsman with the grip latch and the Montezuma, both function the same. I see them for sale time to time used

Yep. Its a Posi-Latch by Waterloo. SBD is using up all of Waterloo's production though and isn't letting Waterloo refill their stocks so the roller tool chest I wanna get isn't in stock. 41".. My current plan is maybe to grab a Craftsman 41" and replace the top drawer slides with Posi-Latch ones I can get from Waterloo directly.

(SBD is dedicating production to DeWalt branded tool storage which makes no sense.. I don't think of DeWalt when I think tool storage. I think Craftsman, Waterloo and the tool truck brands like MATCO and Snap On.)

I love my Griplatch top & bottom chests. Not pro quality, I guess, but not bad in any way I can tell. Got mine lightly used and but a year or two old about 9 years ago.

I used a needle fitting on my grease gun and put small amounts of my usual grease (Red Line synthetic red moly grease) into the ball bearings/their tracks and the action on the drawers became even smoother.
