l have a box like this. The top IS open. Tried a key in the right side top drawer and the lock fell out when trying to turn the key.
But the top right drawer and the middle drawer seen to be locked somehow?
Any ldea what l can do to get these open? Bottom drawer IS open/un-locked. grip latch.jpg

The top right drawer should just have a cam, maybe cam w hook, to hold it closed. What part of the lock fell apart? Did the core come out, the whole lockset came out, what exactly?

I wonder if it's just jammed, as without the lock and cam....

l'll have to go down later or tomorrow, hurting a little too much now. I took a picture of the lock and blade, but it didn't take??
IDK not bugging a mm. Feels just like it's locked though.

Remove bottom drawer and push upward on lock bar to release the other two drawers. Hopefully. If that's how those three are built.

This recent post (or the rest of the thread it came from) might be helpful to you.

13,14,15 are the mechanisms. Yes, the rod should be twisted. There are flats at the tip of the rod, so you can stick a small wrench in there to grab the rod to twist it, I want say 1/4" but it's somewhere around there.

This video shows the channel in the back that the rod lifts. Which is why turning it upside down works.

I bought a pinball machine, a coin-op one, and no key. I drilled out the lock, and bought a universal lock cyl which came w/a variety of brackets/latches, spacers, etc. I think it was ~$15. I just swapped-over the pinball latch bracket to the new cylinder.

Thanks guys, l got it open. Here I had removed the strap's/lock-bars that the top lid picks up when you open the top. You have to/well had to open the top lid to open the drawers.
I didn't need that at home, so l disconnected them from the top. Well one of them had found it's way back into the far slot of the lock-bars.
