They used to sell those, I have the metric and SAE set I got from a member on here. He bought a set that came with them and he did not want them. I also remember seeing them briefly sold in stores as seperate SAE and met. Sets.

Yep, Ingersoll makes a 1/4" gun and it is actually really useful. Laughed at them...then used them and really liked them.

You are supposed to use them on air ratchets. I love my 1/4" impact for dash work.

I've used regular sockets for 15 years. Fasteners of this size don't have enough torque to hurt em.

Now that is said, i'm sure i'll break them non stop. :spit:

Never heard of them either but like things for the mentioned dash work I can see how they'd be useful. Looks like I'll be forced to make another investment!

I have some of the craftsman 1/4" impacts that I bought on clearance about 2-3 years ago. Sears dropped them along with the made in USA impacts and changed over to china made impacts. You will probably only find 1/4" impacts in old USA made combo sets.

1/4" impact sockets are very useful. I love my M12 Fuel 1/4" impact wrench as well as my IR air one. Excellent for anything under 15mm

Matco makes them too for fairly cheap. Tooltopia has the Sunex set with swivels on sale this week too.
