Noticed the elbow, aka indexing, ratcheting wrenches were $49.99 at my local Sears. Found them online at $44.99 (inch) and of course you can do store pickup. Sears normally gets $100 per set for these, or at least tries to.

I've already got the metric set from GW (which is more comprehensive than the Craftsman metric set and does not have open ends, just dual ratcheting, indexing ends) but need an inch set as well and TTBOMK GW does not make an inch set.........altho I dunno who makes Craftsman's inch set??

Inch is 33304 ($44.99) and metric 33305 ($49.99), or search for "elbow" at sears.com.

The sets I saw in store were not lobster claw on the open end, but there were some other ratcheting wrenches there that were. The indexing sets were made in China however.

Cliff notes: if you need inch indexing heads to complement your GW/KD metric set this might be an ok deal. I ordered a set for myself.

These look awesome, but get pretty bad reviews and on top of that they're not usa made so I am a little worried about the quality.

Deal may already be dead. I didn't buy today in store 'cause the line was long and they were mumbling something about computer problems. Ordered from home for pickup from a different store which was supposed to have 2 in stock, but didn't. Order cancelled, but was $48.17 after tax.

Figured I'd do ship to home but the inch set now shows $49.99 instead of the $44.99 earlier today. I added to my cart and while the item detail page shows $49.99 they wind up in the cart at $69.99. IOW, typical Sears website antics.

Who else makes indexing ratcheting wrenches in fractional sizes??

I'm guessing this is only for some members? I went to shopyourwayrewards, re-directed me to shopyourway.com. I signed in but I cannot find a single thing about coupons for a specific dollar amount. I clicked on "messages" and "rewards pts" in the upper menu bar, but nothing.

I remember people talking about this in the Nextec right angle impact driver thread too but then I could also not get any actual coupons for actual dollar amounts. All I can find right now is the SAVENOW code which is apparently tied to the Family & Friends event.

So I did finally see a link to apply SYWR coupons in my cart. Clicked on that but it didn't give me anything, so I linked to my "deals center" where there was allegedly a coupon for $5 off $25 in tools valid 8/11 thru 8/17. I selected that and thru a couple more convoluted processes was able to tell it to "apply coupon" to my cart. At that point it said "The promo code does not match our system" and told me to try again or something. What promo code? I was applying a coupon LOL

Anyway I didn't care much 'cause it woulda put me back under $59 total; I was determined to get the wrenches for $45 and not pay any shipping, so I remembered I legitimately do need a filter for my Craftsman shop vac. The wrenches ($44.98) plus the filter ($15.28) pushed me just over the $59 threshhold for free shipping. Done.

Thank you for posting this deal. I've been wanting to get these for a while now. After reading the reviews I decided to go to the store and check them out before I purchased them. The reviews mention some quality control problems. I'm glad I check them out before I purchased. I tested the lock/unlock mechanism on three sets. Two were so hard I couldn't move it to get them to rotate. The third was sloppy lose. This seems to be common from the reviews. I decided to pass. People seem to be very happy with them when they get a set that functions correctly. Just a warning you may wish to check out the set you are getting in person. If they had some there that did function correctly I would have purchased metric and SAE. Then probably added a 12, 16 and 18mm from another brand.

Yeah, the one I was messing with in store yesterday was difficult to lock/unlock. However I don't much care as I won't use these often except for obstruction situations. I still haven't used my metric GW's, but got them after needing them on an Audi belt replacement.

And don't buy the metric version of these Craftsmans. The GW set is way better; more comprehensive by far, long pattern and made in Taiwan. It often goes on sale for $45 too and you get a LOT more tool for your $$
