Grabbed these 3 for $100 this morning. Nothing special really although you do not see the jointer pedestal very often and I have not seen one of these little hacksaws before. I might keep the hacksaw, we shall see how it cleans up. It does look like a step up from my Keller 'Jefferson' hacksaw but it may not be complete. I didn't even know it was there and he threw it in to clear out the trailer. Considering I almost bought the sander for $90 I think it was a pretty good deal.

I'll post some more after I get done with the two grinders I have in pieces right now. I can't even get this stuff in the garage at the moment.

For $100 I'd say they're special. :) That hacksaw is really neat. I have the same jointer, although mine is older and didn't come with the factory stand.

That pedestal stand was worth well over the $100 itself!! Good snag, whether just users, or restorations!

Yeah I originally thought the jointer was repainted as these are usually gold and the pic was deceiving. It actually is in really good condition, just needs sharpening and cleaning.

The hacksaw is turning out to be the real curiosity here. I only see two others documented anywhere and the owners say very little about them. No rebuild pics or anything like that to be found.

Power hacksaws are slower than the bandsaws, but have a rep for cutting squarer than the bandsaws. I have a dry cut , gravity feed,6x6 power hacksaw and a 4x6 bandsaw. Anything I want to be square and larger pieces goes on the power hacksaw.

Yep, and can be much smaller for the garage shop. Plus changing blades is easier and since they are relatively inexpensive you can get a variety of tooth counts. For my needs a bandsaw dedicated to cutting thick metal would be overkill.

That power hacksaw uses power hacksaw blades, Starrett still makes them. When I changed my blade, I asked what tooth count to use, the general consensus was 10 tooth for everything. And they last a long time unlike bandsaw blades.

Here is a fun vid to watch, his is older than mine but the same model
