If everything is there and working properly they generally sell for between $50 and $150, depending on where you are.

Anybody that has ever actually used a wood lathe will avoid either of those bed styles. Too much flex.

Anyone have some info on the value of the craftsman 101. 21400 metal lathe. Or what they should be going for.

I got the opportunity to purchase this lathe.

It comes with a the original accessories and some tooling

If you know what it is, and have a use for it, the value is what it's worth to you.

Give that it's 10X the lathe that the readily available 7x10/12 lathes that everyone sells now for upwards of $800, I'd say it'e worth a fair amount.

The Craftsman 101 lathe is essentially the same as an Atlas 618. Around here they generally sell for somewhere between $600 and $800 depending upon the amount and type of tooling that is included.

Yup thats exactly what he's selling for 800. But im letting this one go and decided to take the advice of people that went down this road and buy a bigger better lathe. I don't want to realize later that I should have just bought the bigger one in the first place.
