I picked up a craftsman lathe model number 109.0701. the best i can tell it was made in the 1940's does anyone have info.

Try this site. Look through the various links near the top of their page and you can find publications such as parts lists, owners manuals etc. They've also got a buy/sell thread on their sister site that's linked to there. Good place to find missing parts.

I have a 1942 Atlas Craftsman 10" lathe. I knew it was probably from the 40's by the serial number but the spindle bearings are date stamped 1942.

109 usually refers to the AA produced mini-lathes, but I am not familiar with the 0701, just the 0703. A picture would help.
