craftsman logo timeframe

is there a picture history somewhere of craftsman logos and the years used, Im having no luck finding it

Its off a tool box I just got it from the original owner whos 82, he remembers buying it right after he came home from the war, Ill have pics in a few I grabbed it to see if one of the diehard craftsman collectors here would want it,

If he's 82, he's probably talking about Korea not WWII. (He'd have been 15 when WWII ended..)

I recently purchased a Craftsman toolbox "set" I think. The top box has a compartment below the lid, and there are three drawers below that. The logo is all red, no blue, and it says "Guaranteed Highest Quality" above, and "Made In U.S.A." below the Craftsman logo. It's riveted on, so I believe it's original to the box. Do you have any idea when these boxes might have been produced? Thank you for any help!

The top box is 50's from the logo, I think mid to late for that box. (I have the later 10 drawer version)

The Bottom is Earlier I think, or the supplier could not follow directions and left the "wing"s off; probably late 40's but could be 50's also. open the drawers with the logos, and see if there is an impressed stamping on the inside the log covers on the outside. if so that is the MFG of the box for Sears.

One tidbit I have is that the Crown logo first started being used in the second half of 1958.
There was a lot of crossover as old stock was replaced by newer stuff. Backlog had a lot of items such as toolboxes not hitting the showroom until late 1959.

I still have a 1/2" drill my Dad bought from the Sears outlet store in 1974 that was new in box with an oval badge.
